The preamp section is based on a layout
of two 12AX7's and one EF86. Channel 1 is a parallel-triode
circuit with interactive bass and treble, similar to
the C-30, but with a wider range of tone control. Channel
2 consists of a high-gain pentode coupled to a six position
tone switch. A "high treble" cut control in
conjunction with the master volume with a push/pull bypass
feature offers flexible control over the entire power
amp section.
The power amp is fed by a 12AX7 phase inverter
which drives two EL34 power tubes which gives the amp
punch and sensitive touch response. The rectifier circuit
is driven by one 5AR4 for quick attack.
Other professional features include
an effects loop, output impedance selector (4, 8, 16
ohms), a speaker phase-reverse switch and two courtesy
AC receptacles. Logo and indicator lights glow red.
